Dr. Gruber is the Principle Investigator on the newborns screening pilot study for Duchenne muscular dystrophy at Northwell Health site. Dr. Gruber is a clinical researcher investigating the genetic basis of congenital heart disease.  Her research objective is to integrate careful clinical characterization of patients and families with cutting-edge genetic analyses in order to gain insight into the molecular mechanisms underlying heart disease and discover new genetic syndromes. In her position as Assistant Chief, Pediatric Cardiogenomics, she is leading the development, provision, and oversight of genetic counseling services within Cardiogenomics Program at Northwell Health, NY
